These spacious, luxury safari tents are wonderful for couples, families and groups alike. They are fully equipped with a kitchen, wood-burning range cooker/stove, dining table and chairs, comfy sofa, private loo and shower, and even a 4-poster bed. Electricity is included with usb charge points and electric lanterns, a chandelier and fairy lights, providing warm, atmospheric lighting. Each glamping tent is nestled in its own wooded area, overlooking one of the many meadows. The kitchen has a hand-made wooden kitchen unit, with butlers sink, brass mixer taps, as well as a country style dresser. You really have all you need!

WHAT’S PROVIDED?

  • Two of the safari tents have a wood-fired hot tub (one large and one smaller for couples). There are six safari tents in all.

BOOKING INFORMATION
Prices include ready-made beds, organic towels, flannels and kitchen linen. 
  • Arrival time: 4 pm - 6 pm.  Depature time: By 10 am.  Early arrival (from 2 pm) and late check out (by midday) can be booked in advance, subject to availability.  A £29 fee applies per option.
  • Deposit: 30% of total accommodation cost.  Balance: Due 10 weeks before start of holiday. 

  • Policy for families, couples and all-adult bookings: We endeavour to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere throughout our glamping season and therefore we restrict dates when we are able to accept bookings for all-adult groups (i.e. more than one couple in an accommodation unit).  

    Family-only dates are as follows: 2026: F 3 Apr to S 12 Apr, F 1 May - S 3 May, F 22 May – S 31 May, F 17 Jul – S 30 Aug, F 23 Oct- S 25 Oct. Outside these dates we also welcome adult groups at our discretion when our site policies have been agreed to. Details are listed in our Terms and Conditions.

  • Accommodation at Secret Meadows: 6 safari tents (Luxury Lodge Tents) including one with large hot tub (Tent 3 on map) and one with mini hot tub (Tent 6 on map), a Two Storey Luxury Safari Tent, Gypsy's Rest with outdoor soaking tub and the Horsebox Hideaway.  The safari tent with WIFI is set in a wooded area at the entrance to the main glamping meadow, close to the parking area.  All other tents are at the back of the main glamping meadow.  The Horsebox Hideaway is in its own meadow next to the main glamping meadow.

  • NEW! Electricity is included with ALL accommodation options at Secret Meadows
  • Group Bookings/Full Site Bookings: We can advise which glamping accommodation options would work best.  We can place group bookings via email/telephone.  There is only the option to book one accomodation unit at a time when booking at our website.
  • Pet Policy: Dogs are welcome throughout the glamping season.   A £29 fee (per dog) applies. Ideally max 1 large dog or 2 medium dogs per accomm. (1 small dog in Horsebox Hideaway). Please see our Terms and Conditions. We have an enclosed Dog Park accessible from the glamping meadow in which dogs can enjoy a run around off the lead. Please note dogs are not permitted outside of the glamping area as the nature reserve has a no dogs policy.  
  • Activities availability: Please note all activities are subject to availability.  Activities will not be available during certain periods due to staff holidays and we can confirm availability on enquiry. In 2026: Activities are not available between 23 May-1 June, 18-27 July, 22-30 August with other dates subject to availability.

THOSE LITTLE EXTRA TOUCHES

Choose from a range of tempting packages. We've included a few practical hire items too.

 

Private hen coop hire: Your own hen coop at your tent with friendly hens to provide you with fresh eggs. We supply you with hen feed and bedding so that you can look after them during your stay. Eggs are not guaranteed but an entertaining experience is!

£29 per weekend/midweek or £35 per week

YOUR OWN HEN COOP
FARM PANTRY

We source most of the food in The Pantry shop from local suppliers with a variety of high quality food and drink. Food hampers are provided by Grange Farm Shop which is less than ten minutes away by car.  

 

 

This list of items for sale in The Pantry gives a good indication of products but stocks vary.  We no longer stock fresh food but we do sell milk, cheese, butter and yoghurt as well as stone-baked pizzas, ice creams, frozen croissants/breakfast pastries and frozen Artisan bread/rolls.

 

Essentials
Milk, eggs, locally-made jam, Suffolk honey, fairtrade sugar, fairtrade hot chocolate, fairtrade breakfast and herbal teas, fairtrade ground coffee, local rapeseed oil, pasta, rice.

 

For added flavour

Pasta/pizza sauce, pesto, Stokes (locally made) sauces, cider vinegar, sea salt, black pepper, dried mixed herbs.

 

For a good start to the day
Organic cereals and porridge oats, farm-pressed apple juice, frozen croissants and/or pain au chocolat.

 

For a snack temptation
Fairfields and KettleChips crisps, gluten-free lentil crisps, cheese oatcakes, roasted peanuts, olives.

Belvoir sparkling pressés, craft cola, farm-pressed apple juice, fruit cordial, sparkling water.
