WE ARE OPEN! We re-opened on the 4th July 2020. It's great to be able to share Secret Meadows with our guests again.
Hot tub and hen coop hire update: Following our risk assessments, we've taken the difficult decision to close the hot tub and we won't be offering hen coop hire. These will be available again for the 2021 holiday season. The hot tub tent in the 2020 booking calendar now excludes the hot tub fee and pricing is the same as a standard tent.
Family-only bookings apply to the following periods in 2020:
3 - 17 April, 22 - 31 May, 17 - 31 Aug, 23 - 25 Oct 2020.
Prices include ready-made beds, organic towels, flannels and kitchen linen.
Master Cancel Insurance Policy: New holiday bookings at Secret Meadows are covered by our Master Cancel insurance policy. This means if you have to cancel your holiday for any reason between 60 full days and 2 full days before your booked arrival date your accommodation cost will be refunded. The refund is made on departure day (or next working day if at a weekend) of your cancelled booking so you need to allow for this delay. Only accommodation costs paid to Secret Meadows are refunded. Additional extras and packages will not be refunded except in exceptional circumstances and a £35 administration fee would apply.
- Deposit: 30% of total accommodation cost.
- Balance: due 10 weeks before start of holiday.
- Accommodation at Secret Meadows: 6 Luxury Lodge Tents including one with hot tub, a Two Storey Luxury Safari Tent, Gypsy's Rest and the Hobbit Box. 'Luxury Lodge Tent (Elec & WIFI)' is set in a wooded area at the edge of a meadow, close to the parking area and has electricity and WIFI while the other tents are at the back of the same meadow. Please let us know if you'd like us to send you a map of the site.
- Minimum booking slots: Peak season: 3 night weekends, 4 night midweek stays. Low season: 2, 3 or 4 night midweek stays. 2 or 3 night weekends during April, June, September & October exc. school holidays).
- We keep school holidays as family time so adult-only groups are not permitted during school holidays. Family-only bookings are during these periods in 2020: 3 - 17 April, 22 - 31 May, 17 - 31 Aug, 23 - 25 Oct. Further details are listed in our Terms and Conditions.
- Pet Policy: Dogs are not allowed during the main summer holidays (to reduce impact on the nature reserve during our peak holiday season) but are welcome at other times at 5 of our Luxury lodge Tents, the two storey tent and Gypsy's Rest.
