LATEST NEWS

We will continue to follow the latest government advice on the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) for next year's glamping season. We are taking bookings for 2021.

 

From the 30th October 2020, bookings are NOT insured with MasterCancel due to our insurers withdrawing COVID-19 lockdown cover.  We advise all guests to take out their own travel insurance.

 

In the event of a local or national Lockdown:

If you can't travel due to government COVID-19 restrictions in your area or if you are concerned your holiday destination (Secret Meadows) may be closed please get in touch with us by email or at 01394 337 337.  If either of the above apply you will have the option to transfer your holiday to a date up to the end of the next glamping season or have a full refund, with no administration fee. If you choose your rescheduled dates in a higher price range you will need to pay the difference and if you choose to reschedule in a lower price range the price difference will be refunded.

 

If there is no local or national lockdown preventing you from travelling to stay at Secret Meadows:

Our normal deposit and balance terms and conditions will apply: 30% non refundable deposit and the balance payment is non refundable within 10 weeks of the holiday start date.

 

Hen Coop Hire Update: 

We will review hen coop hire in 2021 depending on COVID guidance at the time.  If we are unable to offer hen coop hire then complimentary, freshly laid eggs from our hens will be available for our guests to collect from a collection point at the pantry shop and guests are welcome to visit the area where the hens and other animals live.   

 

Hot Tub Hire Update: 

We will review hot tub hire in 2021 depending on COVID guidance at the time.

 

Social distancing and cleanliness of accommodation:
These are some of the changes we have introduced to make sure we keep the site safe for guests and staff.  We’ll be following the latest guidelines for social distancing and cleanliness of accommodation.
 
We have introduced self-check in and we email a combined Information (replacing the Information folder in accommodation) and Welcome Pack along with a link to video guides.  Short videos include all the general checking-in information such as using the wood-burning stove, lanterns, and how the pantry works etc.  
With the self-check in process, we ask that you text or call Ross when you have settled in so we know you’re OK.
We’ll be available for you to contact by telephone at any time during your stay if you have any queries and we’ll maintain social distancing if we need to visit your accommodation for assistance.
We’ll be removing unnecessary ‘high-touch’ category items such as information packs which will be emailed to you instead, books, torch and games.  We will also exclude blankets, throws and cushions. So you may want to pack your own torches, games and blankets.  Any items on the complimentary tea tray will be refreshed between each stay.
There will be a one-household/accommodation group at a time policy for accessing the onsite shop. 
Hand sanitiser is outside the pantry and wood store for use before and after accessing these buildings.
  • Disinfectant and hand sanitiser are at each accommodation for you to use during your stay.  The usual hand soaps will be in your accommodation for regular handwashing.
All our accommodation units have private facilities including private loos and showers, and private kitchens, so guests don’t need to share any facilities with other groups.
